Seared eyeballs anyone?

I got it in my head that I could take a picture of this ice halo around the sun. I should be able to see again in a few weeks.

Old Dog/New Dog

We sort of rescued this little mutt from a trip to the pound. Named Jazz (aka Jasmine) by previous owners. She's 12 years old, not much chance of teaching her new tricks or changing her name. So far so good -- she seems to enjoy her new home. Loves to eat.
